KLUANG: Barisan Nasional's candidate for the Mahkota by-election lost his father today.
Syed Abdullah Syed Abdul Hamid was put in an induced coma on Sunday but succumbed to his illness without regaining consciousness.
The candidacy of Kluang Umno Youth chief Syed Hussien Syed Abdullah was announced by Johor Umno liaison committee chairman Datuk Onn Hafiz Ghazi.
The Mahkota by-election will be held on Sept 28.
