KK's Tanjung Aru park closed after otter attacks

KOTA KINABALU: The Tanjung Aru Perdana Park has been temporarily closed after several people were attacked by otters yesterday.

In a statement, the Kota Kinabalu City Hall (DBKK) said the measure was aimed at ensuring parkgoers' safety.

It also said DBKK is working with other authorities on the matter.

"The public is advised to adhere to the closure order," said the statement.

Yesterday, a jogger in her 30s suffered serious injuries when she was attacked by a family of otters at the park.

The otters also attacked two other joggers who attempted to help the victim.

It was reportedly the first otter attack reported in the state.
