KUALA LUMPUR: Just three weeks after assuming her duties as the Kuala Lumpur City Mayor, Datuk Seri Dr Maimunah Mohd Sharif visited NSTP Balai Berita for her first podcast interview on 'BH, Borak Hari Ini'.
She spent about two hours at Balai Berita, touring the editorial desks and newsroom before proceeding to the podcast recording at the Ink Studio on the fourth floor.
The first woman to serve as Mayor of Kuala Lumpur, Maimunah was welcomed by Media Prima Group chairman Datuk Seri (Dr) Syed Hussian Aljunid, Media Prima Group managing director Rafiq Razali, and New Straits Times Press (NSTP) Group managing editor Datuk Ahmad Zaini Kamaruzzaman.
The BH, Borak Hari Ini podcast, titled 'Kuala Lumpur in Maimunah's Hands', explores her role as mayor along with her vision, mission, and aspirations for Kuala Lumpur and its residents.
Maimunah also shared her plans to tackle some of the major issues in the city and make KL a sustainable city during the podcast.
Also present were DBKL's Infrastructure Planning director Siti Hanim Abd Rahman, DBKL Corporate Planning director Zurida Hashim, Berita Harian deputy group editor M. Thillinadan, Berita Harian executive editor (Content and Digital) Zainudin Mohd Isa, and New Straits Times group editor Farrah Naz Karim.
