KOTA BARU: Pas said the party has not taken any actions against Perlis delegate Mohd Saifizi Saidon who had openly criticised the party leadership at its 70th Muktamar in Pahang recently.
Its secretary-general Datuk Seri Takiyuddin Hassan also said a letter circulated on social media claiming that action was taken against Saifizi is fake.
"The issue is under our attention, but so far, Pas has not taken any action against Saifizi. The letter that went viral was fake," the Kota Baru member of Parliament told reporters.
During the Pas Muktamar, Safizi claimed that the party leadership failed to monitor the quality of its leaders and menteris besar.
He also questioned the party's commitment to upholding the values of integrity and trustworthiness.
He added there was no report or plans from the Perlis Pas liaison committee or the central leadership on the issue involving Menteri Besar Mohd Shukri Ramli and his son who are implicated in an allegation of abuse of power.
Saifizi suggested that the party should be more meticulous and committed to selecting candidates for the position of Menteri Besar and state executive councillors, saying that they should implement stricter controls and guidelines.
