Kuala Kedah-Langkawi ferry services to resume tomorrow

LANGKAWI: The Kuala Kedah-Langkawi ferry services which was suspended for three days due to bad weather, will resume tomorrow.

Ferry Line Ventures Sdn Bhd (Ferry Line) general manager Captain Dr Baharin Baharom said the ferry service for the Kuala Kedah-Langkawi route and vice-versa will be restored following improved weather in Kuala Kedah waters.

"The service will resume as normal tomorrow. The online ticketing purchase will be back in operational as normal," he said when contacted today.

However, Baharin urged passengers to be on alert for any update on the ferry services by Ferry Line and Cuti Cuti Langkawi on social media platforms and mobile applications.

"For the Langkawi-Kuala Kedah route, the first ferry will depart as early as 10.30am, followed by the second trip at 12 noon and 1.30pm, before it resumes at 3pm while the last trip is 4pm.

"As for the Kuala Kedah-Langkawi, the first ferry trip is scheduled at 12 noon, 1.30pm, 3pm, 4.30pm with the last trip at 6pm," he said.

On Thursday, Ferry Line had suspended its Kuala Kedah-Langkawi-Kuala Kedah ferry services due to strong wind and choppy waters which may pose ra isk to the passengers and crew safety.
