TEMERLOH: The Pahang government views seriously the issues concerning Global Ikhwan Services and Business Holdings (GISB) and is prepared to assist the authorities.
Menteri Besar Pahang Datuk Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail said the state government has been cooperating with the police to conduct their investigations across the state.
"Pahang is seriously monitoring the issues (involving GISB) and will cooperate with the police.
"We will continuously follow the progress and latest developments involving it (GISB).
"We leave it to the police to investigate and take appropriate action," he said after presenting Felda New Generation People Land Scheme (STR) titles to settlers at Dato' Zaharuddin Abu Kassim hall here today.
He urged those with information on deviant teachings in the state to report the matter to the authorities.
GISB made headlines across the country following police investigations after raids were conducted on Sept 11 on 20 welfare homes allegedly operated by them which led to 402 children being rescued.
Some of the children suffered physical and emotional injuries.
Since then police had launched the nationwide operation codenamed 'Op Global' at GISB-linked premises nationwide including charity homes.
GISB has denied all allegations of child exploitation and abuse.
Meanwhile, at the event today, Wan Rosdy presented 1,465 land titles including for settlers from Felcra Kerdau 1, 2 and 3 near here along with 14 STR schemes in Temerloh.
