PORT DICKSON: Former health director-general Tan Sri Dr Noor Hisham Abdullah has been appointed as a resident consultant surgeon in Breast and Endocrine Surgery at UCSI Hospital, effective today.
In a statement regarding his new appointment, Dr Noor Hisham said, "I am delighted to announce that from Oct 1, I will be the new resident consultant surgeon in Breast and Endocrine Surgery in UCSI Hospital, Springhill Negri Sembilan.
"I am more than happy to accept referrals and continue my clinical service in the first private University Hospital."
In September last year, Dr Noor Hisham was appointed as the chairperson of UCSI Healthcare Group.
He retired in April last year after 35 years of public service, including a decade as the health director-general.
Dr Noor Hisham received numerous awards for his contributions to public healthcare and his leadership during the pandemic.
