FAM president gets Tan Sri title

KUALA LUMPUR: FA of Malaysia (FAM) president, Datuk Hamidin Amin, has been conferred the title of Darjah Panglima Setia Mahkota (P.S.M), which carries the title of Tan Sri.

This is in recognition of Hamidin's outstanding contributions, particularly to football, over the years.

Hamidin received the Darjah Panglima Setia Mahkota award from His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia in conjunction with his official birthday today.

Hamidin has been the FAM president since 2018 and is currently in his second term. He was elected as a member of the Fifa council for the 2023-2027 term and is also the Deputy President of the Olympic Council of Malaysia.

He recently served as the Chef de Mission of the Malaysian contingent to the Paris Olympics.
