KUALA LUMPUR: A mamak restaurant in Kuala Lipis, Pahang, was ordered to close for 14 days after a viral video allegedly showed a worker cleaning a pot with a broom.
The Health Ministry issued the closure order yesterday, Utusan Malaysia reported, following a surprise inspection triggered by public complaints.
The ministry also inspected the restaurant's food storage.
The two-second clip, uploaded on the "Komuniti Anak-Anak Lipis" Facebook page on Saturday, showed a man, believed to be a worker, washing a pot at the back of the premises.
The video sparked backlash from netizens.
