Unscheduled water disruption in KL after pipe burst [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Several areas in Kuala Lumpur have been hit with water disruptions due to a pipe burst at the Pasar Seni Hub in the city.

Air Selangor said repair works are underway and are expected to be completed at 1am tomorrow (Oct 9).

The water disruption, which began at 6am, involves numerous residential and commercial areas including Brickfields, Bukit Bandaraya, Bukit Damansara, Bukit Tunku, Damansara Heights, Kampung Attap, Kuala Lumpur City Centre, Kuala Lumpur Central, and Semantan.

Other affected areas are Apartment Putra Ria, Bukit Bangsar, Bukit Persekutuan, Damansara Town Centre, Idamansara, Jalan Sultan Hishamuddin, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Medan Damansara, Parliament, Tijani, Taman Tasik Perdana, Taman SA (Bangsar and Damansara), Taman Lucky, and Taman Bangsar Baru among others.

"Water supply will be distributed to consumers in stages when the repair works are completed and the main water supply distribution system has been stabilised.

"Water supply is expected to recover fully at 1pm on Oct 9."

Air Selangor will mobilise water tankers to affected areas, with priority given to critical hospitals, clinics and dialysis centres.

Members of the public can refer to the Air Selangor app, website and social media channels or call Air Selangor's Call Centre at 15300 for information on the water disruption.
