PUTRAJAYA: Ahead of the parliamentary session beginning on Oct 14, Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim has urged his cabinet members to be well-prepared.
The reminder was conveyed during today's cabinet meeting, said Communications Minister Fahmi Fadzil.
"The prime minister has called for the ministers and deputies to be well-prepared to table and to respond to matters related to the bills and motions that will be raised during the session," he said during his weekly press conference.
The parliament session will run from Oct 14 to Dec 12 with Anwar scheduled to table the 2025 Budget on Oct 18.
Asked if the cabinet meeting today also discussed about budget, Fahmi said the cabinet members would only learn the details of the budget during the meeting on the day itself.
"At this time, we have received some information, but it is not final.
"So, I don't have any additional information and there is no speculation, we will have to wait for Oct 18," he said.
