JOHOR BARU: Pentas Seni Johor at B5 Johor Street Market, is now the cultural hub for the state's arts and heritage enthusiasts ahead of Visit Johor Year 2026.
Yayasan Johor Corporation (JCorp), in collaboration with the Johor Heritage Foundation, introduced the Pentas Seni Johor, which will strengthen the state's artistic identity through a diverse range of activities.
Johor Unity, Heritage, and Culture Committee chairman K. Raven Kumar officiated the launch today.
He said having a dedicated venue and stage to promote Johor's art was a significant step in its cultural scene.
Meanwhile, JCorp Foundation chairman Rozaini Mohd Sani said this will further strengthen Johor's artistic identity through traditional music performances, visual art exhibitions, cultural showcases and creative workshops, particularly targeting the state's youth.
The activities are set to run through this year and the next, which is part of the Visit Johor 2026 campaign.
"Pentas Seni Johor will not only act as a cultural hub but also offer local artists a platform to showcase their talents and generate income.
"We aim to establish it as a leading destination for arts and cultural tourism," he said, adding that the initiative will also support differently-abled artists.
Johor Heritage Foundation director Fairuzahri Jalaluddin said the hub is a vital platform to preserve and promote the state's rich heritage.
He expressed confidence that the initiative would engage the public and enrich Johor's cultural landscape.
