'Submit names of syndicate 'big fish' and we'll act,' Saifuddin tells news portal [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Home Minister Datuk Seri Saifuddin Nasution Ismail has asked Malaysiakini to reveal the alleged high-profile figures involved in the counter-setting syndicate who remain at large.

Saifuddin assured that if Malaysiakini submits the names along with evidence, he will personally ensure the Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) receives the information.

"I ask Kepong MP Lim Lip Eng to inform Malaysiakini to provide us with the names, and we will hand them over to the MACC for arrest.

"Get the full names, present the evidence, and we'll take action. I guarantee I will submit it to the MACC.

"In Parliament, you cannot make sweeping statements. We have a responsibility," he said in the Dewan Rakyat today.

Saifuddin was responding to Lim's question about whether the government would act following Malaysiakini's report that the "big fish" in the syndicate remains free.

The syndicate is linked to a medical visa racket involving foreign nationals.

The key masterminds, identified as Tok Yah, a high-ranking government employee, and DK, a Johor businessman, are still at large.
