Najib's daughter Nooryana Najwa joins Matrade board

KUALA LUMPUR: Former prime minister Datuk Seri Najib Razak's daughter, Datin Nooryana Najwa, has been appointed to the Malaysia External Trade Development Corporation (Matrade) board of directors.

Matrade chairman Datuk Seri Reezal Merican Naina Merican made this announcement in a Facebook post yesterday after chairing a Matrade board of directors meeting.

Nooryana, 36, was appointed to the board with Datuk Hairil Yahri Yaacob and Dr Mastura Abdul Karim.

"I chaired the Matrade board of directors meeting for 2024.

"The meeting reviewed Matrade's direction and plans for the year."

He said before the meeting, he presented appointment letters to the new board of directors members and witnessed them take the corruption-free pledge.

"Congratulations to Datin Nooryana Najwa on her appointment as a Matrade board of directors member."
