Drunk Singaporean SUV driver arrested after crashing into three Malaysian motorcyclists [WATCH]

KUALA LUMPUR: Singapore media have reported that a drunk driver who crashed into three motorcyclists at the Toh Tuck Avenue traffic lights in Singapore has been arrested.

A dash cam video of a Sports Utility Vehicle (SUV) crashing into the riders, who managed to leap out of the way seconds before the vehicle crashed into them, has been making the rounds.

In the video, a white SUV can be seen heading straight for the riders who were waiting for the lights to change in the opposite lane.

According to a report by Singapore newsportal Lianhe Zaobao, the accident occurred about 11.15pm on Sunday (Oct 13).

In a series of loud crashes, all three motorcycles were knocked over, while the SUV continued forward and collided head-on with the car that recorded the incident.

Fortunately, the three motorcyclists reacted quickly, jumping away just in time to avoid being hit.

Before the impact, surrounding vehicles had already noticed something unusual and started honking to alert others. Thanks to this warning, the motorcyclists were able to react swiftly, jumping off their bikes and dodging to safety.

It is believed that none of them were injured, although their motorcycles sustained varying degrees of damage, as seen in the dashcam footage.

The video later shows the male SUV driver stepping out after the accident and drinking water repeatedly and seems to appeared dazed.

According to the owner of the video, the driver who crashed into the Malaysian bikers was later arrested on suspicion of drunk driving.
