KUALA LUMPUR: RM200 million will be allocated for the maintenance of low-cost and medium-cost public strata housing, including replacing outdated elevators.
In addition, recreational areas and landscaped spaces in 48 Madani Public Parks will be upgraded with an allocation of nearly RM100 million said Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim.
Speaking during the 2025 Budget (Belanjawan 2025) tabling, Anwar also announced Chinese New Villages will also be allocated RM84 million, part of which is for upgrading basic and social facilities for community use.
"The Ministry of Housing and Local Government (KPKT) has also been tasked with coordinating the needs of Indian communities," said Anwar.
