Sabah PKR: Don't ignore us in polls' collaboration talks

KOTA KINABALU: Anyone wishing to collaborate with Sabah PKR should meet it directly, says its information chief.

Razeef Rakimin said Sabah PKR has an autonomous status in discussions on political cooperation.

"We make the decisions, and we know who is best suited for collaboration."

Last week, Barisan Nasional (BN) chairman Datuk Seri Dr Ahmad Zahid Hamidi said the coalition and Pakatan Harapan (PH) had come to an agreement on working together in the state election.

Razeef said BN is welcome to work with Sabah PKR.

"(But) We don't want decisions being made without our knowledge. We must be respected. Discussions should not just happen at a higher level," he told a press conference here.

Razeef also said Sabah PKR is comfortable working with Gabungan Rakyat Sabah at the state level and with BN federally.

But he drew a line at cooperating with Parti Warisan.

"Why collaborate with people who attack us? We don't see that happening."

Razeef also addressed Parti Bersatu Sabah's view that state-based parties should contest more seats so that they would become dominant.

He said fair seat allocations should be prioritised.
