'Not me,' says Misha Omar on reports of female singer arrested by Thai police

KOTA BARU: Kelantan-born singer Misha Omar has denied rumours that she was among the six Malaysians arrested by Thai police over the possession of Yaba pills recently.

Misha, whose real name is Samihah @ Aisah Omar, popular for her hit songs 'Bunga-Bunga Cinta', 'Pulangkan' and 'Sampai Bila', took to her Instagram yesterday to address the rumours.

"Thank you to all who forwarded (the news report) to me and asked if I am okay.

"It wasn't me... please do not worry," she wrote in a posting on her Instagram story.

It was reported yesterday that six Malaysians, including a popular modern dikir barat singer, were arrested in south Thailand for possession of 6,000 pills in Sungai Golok town on Friday.

The six were detained at a hotel around 6am. They were believed to have crossed the border town for leisure over the Deepavali holidays.
