GEORGE TOWN: Police have detained the boyfriend and adopted sister of the teenager who fell to her death from the 16th floor of her condominium unit in Farlim last night.
Acting Northeast district police chief, Superintendent Lee Swee Sake, confirmed the arrests, saying the duo's urine tests had come back positive for drugs.
"Yes, the duo, aged 18 and 19, were detained early this morning after their urine tests returned positive for drugs. As for the deceased girl, we must wait for the toxicology report; we cannot ascertain the cause at this stage," he told the New Straits Times today.
Earlier reports indicated that a 15-year-old girl died after falling from the 16th floor of her condominium unit in Farlim at around 11.45pm.
The teenager was reportedly at home with her boyfriend and adopted sister when the incident occurred.
