PM to officiate Madani govt bash at KLCC on Nov 23

KUALA LUMPUR: A three-day programme to celebrate two years of the Madani government will be held at the Kuala Lumpur Convention Centre from Nov 22 to 24.

The programme, which includes the 2024 National Public Service Reform Convention, is being organised by the Prime Minister's Office through the Performance Acceleration Coordination Unit and the Malaysia Productivity Corporation.

Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim will officiate the two-year anniversary programme, themed "Madani di hati, rakyat disantuni", on Nov 23.

The programme's secretariat, in a statement today, said it aims to provide space for the public to better understand the efforts and initiatives of the Madani government, as well as the public service reforms that have been translated into direct benefits for the people.

"It also aims to raise awareness among the public about the direction and goals of the government, which are based on the interests of the people," the secretariat said.

Several discourse sessions will be held throughout the convention, involving representatives from the government and private sector, including academics and non-governmental organisations (NGOs).

"These sessions serve as a platform for the government to receive direct feedback based on the input from industry players and data from field studies.

"The convention aims to enhance the knowledge and skills of participants, especially those involved in the government service delivery, to implement reforms that drive productivity towards a high-performance public service.

"NGOs, academia, higher education institutions, businesses and the general public, especially the youth, will be given the space and opportunity to engage directly in efforts to strengthen public service reform through the convention," it added.
