KUALA LUMPUR: Several areas in the capital have reported flooding following heavy rain this afternoon.
In a brief statement on Facebook, Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) stated that the affected areas include Jalan Pudu and Jalan Sultan (Petaling Street).
"Heavy rain is occurring around the capital, and DBKL personnel are monitoring the current situation.
"The water levels in major rivers remain at normal and manageable levels as of 2.45pm.
"Road users are advised to exercise caution and stay vigilant," the statement said.
Meanwhile, the Malaysian Fire and Rescue Department (JBPM), when contacted, confirmed that they had not yet received any emergency calls related to flash floods.
