SHAH ALAM: Heavy rains this morning caused a flash flood in Bandar Setia Alam.
The Selangor Fire and Rescue Department was alerted to the incident after receiving a distress call at 9.32 am.
Assistant director (operations) Ahmad Mukhlis Mukhtar said a team of six firemen and a fire engine from the Kapar Fire Station responded to the incident.
"Flood waters rose to about two feet deep following heavy rains along Jalan Setia Prima E U13/E," he said.
He said checks at the scene revealed that victims were trapped due to the floods.
"The water levels are currently receding," he said.
