KOTA KINABALU: Sabah has tabled a RM6.421 billion budget for next year with a surplus of RM24.08 million.
Finance Minister Datuk Seri Masidi Manjun said it was the first time Sabah has proposed its highest-ever estimated supply expenditure, with an estimated revenue of RM6.445 billion.
Of the total, RM1.299 billion has been set aside for development expenditures, while RM5.441 billion is allocated for operating expenditures.
Last year, the 2024 state budget allocated RM5.701 billion, comprising RM1.328 billion and RM4.751 billion for development and operating expenditures, respectively.
