KUALA LUMPUR: The number of flood victims across the country has decreased to 481 people from 116 families in six states as of 6am today.
According to an Awani report, flood information from the Social Welfare Department said the affected states include Melaka, Terengganu, Kelantan, Sarawak, Johor, and Selangor.
In Melaka, three temporary relief centres (PPS) were opened, housing 178 victims from 51 families after floods hit the Melaka Tengah district.
The floods in Terengganu have affected 223 victims from 43 families, who are currently staying in six relief centres. The affected districts are Marang and Dungun.
In Kelantan, 44 victims from 12 families are being housed in one PPS in Bachok.
Sarawak is sheltering 18 victims from four families in a PPS in the Betong district.
Johor, the latest state to be affected by floods since Saturday, has 11 victims from four families housed in one PPS in Segamat.
The last state to be affected by floods is Selangor, where one PPS has been opened in the Kuala Langat district to shelter seven victims from two families.
