Pahang's revenue exceeds RM1 billion mark for third consecutive year

RAUB: The Pahang government has collected RM1.144 billion in revenue, surpassing the RM1.137 billion target set for this year.

The state government led by Menteri Besar Datuk Seri Wan Rosdy Wan Ismail has successfully exceeded the RM1 billion mark in revenue collection for three consecutive years since 2022.

Wan Rosdy described the achievement as a result of meticulous planning by the state government to ensure that the collection target is achieved.

"The revenue collection proves that we walk the talk. Whatever we plan every year is not mere talk but based on proper studies and planning that we execute diligently...I will be tabling the state's 2025 budget on Nov 29 and hopefully, we can meet the target next year.

"The good news(revenue collection) is due to the cooperation of all civil servants across the state who have been working hard. Well done, congratulations and thank you to everyone," he wrote on his Facebook page.

During the closing ceremony of the 2024 state-level land carnival at Universiti Teknologi Mara Raub yesterday, Wan Rosdy announced the state's revenue collection for this year.

Meanwhile, the Pahang Media portal reported that Wan Rosdy announced that good news awaits civil servants across the state but the finer details will be tabled during the state's 2025 budget.

"As usual, there certainly is (good news) but the amount has yet to be decided. We will gather feedback from everyone, especially the State Financial Officer, and the State Secretary's Office before deciding.

"(No matter what happens there will be something). Looking at my track record, we have never failed to provide financial aid to civil servants under my leadership," he said.

On Dec 4 last year, Wan Rosdy announced the Pahang government had set a target of RM1.137 billion in revenue collection for 2024.
