KUALA LUMPUR: The floods in the country showed signs of easing, with the number of evacuees slightly decreasing to 150,482, and Selangor no longer recording any victims.
According to the National Disaster Management Agency (Nadma), the number of flood victims nationwide stood at 150,482 as of 4pm today, compared to 152,377 this morning.
A total of 672 temporary relief centres (PPS) remain operational, accommodating 44,336 affected families.
Kelantan remains the worst-hit state, with 96,657 victims from 29,764 families housed in 278 PPS across its nine districts.
Floods in Terengganu continue to affect eight districts, involving 41,788 victims from 11,274 families, who are sheltered at 294 PPS.
In Kedah, seven districts are affected, with 8,427 victims from 2,595 families housed in 51 PPS.
In Negeri Sembilan, floods in three districts have displaced 1,617 victims from 439 families, who are being accommodated at eight PPS.
Twenty PPS have been opened in three districts in Pahang to house 1,152 victims from 350 families, while Johor shelters 528 victims from 139 families in 16 PPS.
Melaka has 238 victims from 57 families housed in PPS across three districts. Meanwhile, one PPS in Perlis shelters 75 victims from 18 families.
According to the Social Welfare Department's Info Bencana Portal, Perak has recorded 47 victims from 12 families in two temporary relief centres (PPS).
