RAUB: The number of flood victims has risen to 1,092, with all evacuees housed at 20 temporary relief centres in Raub as of 8pm tonight.
The Raub Disaster Management Committee (JPBD) secretariat reported that 1,092 victims from 375 families were relocated to PPS, an increase from 685 victims recorded at 12pm today.
"PPS Balai Raya Kampung Ulu Jelu is housing 26 families (87 victims); PPS Kampung Pamas Rawas is housing 10 families (32 victims); PPS Balai Raya Kampung Bukit Pampong is housing 20 families (26 victims); PPS Pintu Padang is housing 45 families (166 victims); and PPS Dewan Lechar is housing 34 families (111 victims).
"Meanwhile, PPS Kampung Tok Machang is housing 29 families (98 victims), and PPS Balai Raya Kampung Peruas is housing 14 families (62 victims).
"PPS Kampung Pamah Kulat is sheltering 18 families (67 victims); PPS Kampung Kuala Keloi is housing 5 families (16 victims); PPS Kemas Gali Tengah is housing 49 families (113 victims); and PPS Dewan Gali Hilir is housing 5 families (5 victims)," the secretariat said.
Additionally, it said that PPS Dewan Dato Seriwa Pasir Bayam is housing 14 families (44 victims), PPS Sekolah Kebangsaan Muhammad Jabar is housing 40 families (45 victims), PPS Kampung Durian Sebatang is housing 17 families (43 victims), PPS Kampung Pia is housing 35 families (126 victims), PPS Masjid Kuala Temau is housing 6 families (20 victims), and PPS Kampung Ajai is housing 8 families (31 victims).
Meanwhile, the centres at Masjid Kg Pampong, PPS Dong, and PPS Dewan Ulu Gali have yet to update the number of evacuees.
Water levels at Sungai Lipis in Batu Malim, Sungai Dong in Pasir Bayam, Sungai Gali in Ulu Gali, and Sungai Dong in Kg Peruas in the district are showing a decreasing trend.
As of 8pm, no rainfall has been recorded in the interior areas.
