Man falls to death from Kuching car park

KUALA LUMPUR: A man fell to his death from a shopping complex car park on Wednesday night in Kuching, Sarawak.

Local police chief Assistant Commissioner Mohd Farhan Lee Abdullah confirmed the incident in a statement today, identifying the victim as a 63-year-old man.

"We received a distress call at 10.43pm and upon arriving at the scene, officers noticed the man lying facedown and unconscious.

"Emergency responders who were also summoned to the scene confirmed the man's death. His body has been sent for a post-mortem to the Sarawak General Hospital," he said.

He said police have classified the case as sudden death and have requested that the public refrain from making unnecessary speculations.
