KLUANG: Former Mahkota state assemblyman Muhammad Said Jonit died at Hospital Enche' Besar Hajjah Khalsom here today at 7am.
Johor Pakatan Harapan chairman Aminolhuda Hassan said the late assemblyman's body would be taken to his hometown in Simpang Renggam for burial after asar prayers today.
Said represented Amanah under the PKR banner and was elected as the Mahkota assemblyman in the 14th General Election. He served from 2018 to 2022.
He was a Pas member before joining Amanah. He then left Amanah in 2021, and joined PKR.
During his tenure, Said also served as PKR Simpang Renggam division deputy chief and was a member of Johor PKR leadership council.
