KUALA LUMPUR: A pupil from Sabah has achieved international recognition after her mascot design was selected as the official mascot for the Asia Pacific Triennial Kids showcase in Brisbane, Australia.
The school, SK St. Anthony Penampang, Sabah in a Facebook posting congratulated the pupil, Hana Tatiza Eswa for her mascot creation, "Mahu," which will represent the prestigious platform that showcases art from over 30 countries.
Her school described the accomplishment as a testament to her creativity and dedication at such a young age.
"We are proud to celebrate the outstanding achievement of our talented student, Hana Tatiza Eswar, for her remarkable accomplishment in designing the mascot 'Mahu,'" read the post.
It added that Hana's success brought great pride to the school and expressed hope that her story would inspire fellow students to dream big and pursue their passions with determination.
"Congratulations, Hana! May your story inspire your fellow students to dream big and pursue their passions with determination. Keep shining and creating!"
Held at the Queensland Art Gallery | Gallery of Modern Art (QAGOMA) Children's Art Centre, the Asia Pacific Triennial Kids is a collection of seven artist projects where children can explore their creativity through creating, interactive multimedia and reflect on the experiences of others through drawing and video works.
It features the works of artists from India, New Zealand, Malaysia, Saudi Arabia, Palestine, Cambodia, and Timor-Leste.
