KUALA LUMPUR: Former Sabah chief minister Tun Musa Aman has been appointed as the state's 11th governor.
He received the instrument of appointment from His Majesty Sultan Ibrahim, King of Malaysia, in a ceremony at Balairung Kecil, Istana Negara here today.
Also in attendance at the ceremony was the Prime Minister Datuk Seri Anwar Ibrahim, Sabah Chief Minister Datuk Seri Hajiji Noor and other federal cabinet ministers.
Musa,73, was appointed Yang di-Pertua Negeri Sabah for four years until Dec 18, 2028. He replaces Tun Juhar Mahiruddin who held the post since 2011.
Musa, the former Sungai Sibuga assemblyman, served as chief minister between 2003 and 2018.
