Skop Productions donates RM20,000 to Media Prime-NSTP fund for flood relief

KUALA LUMPUR: Skop Productions Sdn Bhd has donated RM20,000 to the Media Prima-NSTP Humanitarian Fund to help alleviate the burden of those affected by the recent floods.

Managing director Datuk Yusof Haslam expressed his sympathy and hoped the contribution would help those enduring hardship.

"Many of my staff are from Kelantan, and during the 2014 floods, my team and I went there to help the affected staff.

"We also provided donations to a few individuals. That was back in 2014. Now, with another disaster, we feel deeply for those affected, especially as some of my own staff are involved.

"For my staff, I personally provided direct contributions. This is the support we are able to offer," he said when met at the mock cheque presentation ceremony at Media Prima Bhd's Balai Berita.

Media Prima Television Network and Primeworks Studios chief executive officer Nini Yusof received the cheque on behalf of the company.

Since 1991, the Media Prima-NSTP Humanitarian has offered financial support to those facing poverty or unable to afford medical treatment.

The fund works closely with 'Bersamamu', the popular TV3 documentary series, to encourage public donations for important causes.

Yusof explained that he chose to donate through Media Prima due to the film and television production companies' history of successful collaborations, including dramas like 'Polis Peronda' and 'Polis Peronda: Ranjau Jalanan'.

He added that Skop Productions had also contributed through other channels, including personal donations.

He expressed hope that the flood victims would remain resilient.

"As part of Skop Productions, we deeply sympathise with the situation in Kelantan. The massive flood has caused immense hardship and challenges for many.

"Regardless, I hope they remain resilient in facing this trial. All of this is a test from Allah, and I can only pray for the best for those affected."
