KUALA LUMPUR: Kuala Lumpur City Hall (DBKL) has carried out a special operation targeting foreign-operated business premises that lack valid licences around Pasar Borong and Pusat Bandar Utara Kuala Lumpur.
In a Facebook post, DBKL said that the operation resulted in five obstruction removal actions against businesses obstructing public areas, conducted under the Street, Drainage, and Building Act 1974.
Its enforcement officers also issued four compound notices under the Minor Offences Act, Licensing of Trade, Business and Industry (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) 2016.
"All items involved in the obstruction removals have been relocated to the Seizure Depot on Jalan Lombong, Taman Miharja Cheras, Kuala Lumpur, for recording and documentation," it said.
DBKL said that it will continue to monitor key areas and enforce regulations as needed.
