KUALA LUMPUR: City Hall (DBKL) carried out an integrated operation targeting premises for conducting unauthorised entertainment activities, employing foreigners without legal permits, engaging in unlicensed activities and other offences.
This crackdown was executed by City Hall's Licensing and Business Development Department, the Enforcement Department, the Health and Environment Department, and the police in the Bandar Tun Razak and Segambut parliamentary areas.
"Following intelligence and investigations conducted around the area, a total of five business premises have been identified and enforcement action taken.
"A total of nine compound notices have been issued under the UUK 28(1) Food Establishment Licensing By-laws (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur), three offence notification notices issued, and one premises has been ordered to close immediately under the Entertainment Act (Federal Territory of Kuala Lumpur) 1992," it said in a statement yesterday.
Meanwhile, police also arrested five individuals, believed to be involved in drug abuse.
"City Hall will continue enforcement actions and monitoring from time to time in the focus locations that have been identified," it said.
