KOTA BARU: The third wave of flooding in Kelantan is almost back to normal, with only 31 victims still evacuated tonight.
According to the Welfare Department's Info Bencana portal, the victims, from nine families, are now taking shelter at a flood relief centre in Pasir Mas. The figure was recorded as of 7.30pm.
The portal also stated that only the Golok River in Rantau Panjang was measured above its danger mark while other rivers have receded. As of 7.30pm, the river was recorded at 10.15m, which is 1.15m above its danger level of 9m.
Meanwhile, a survey in Rantau Panjang town this evening showed that several villages located in the low-lying areas were still submerged by floodwaters after the Golok River breached its banks.
The affected villages are Kampung Kubang Chenok, Kampung Tersang, and Kampung Lanchang.
These villages have been inundated with between 0.5m to 1.2m of floodwaters since Monday.
