PUTRAJAYA: The Malaysian Anti-Corruption Commission (MACC) is prioritising efforts to equip its officers to adapt to evolving government directions, particularly in digitalisation and advancements in artificial intelligence (AI) technology.
Chief Commissioner Tan Sri Azam Baki stressed the need for proactive operations to address high-impact corruption issues effectively.
"This proactive approach must be complemented by preventive measures, including governance management and the dissemination of anti-corruption education to targeted groups," he said.
Speaking at the MACC Chief Commissioner's Address and Monthly Assembly No. 1/2025 at the MACC headquarters today, Azam outlined the agency's commitment to strengthening the knowledge and skills of its officers.
"The MACC is dedicated to enhancing the education, expertise, and capabilities of its personnel through regular training in various fields to meet national demands and public expectations," he said.
He also stressed the importance of refining operational structures and approaches, including reviewing standard operating procedures and updating strategies, to uphold the MACC's high standards of performance and excellence.
