KUALA LUMPUR: A video showing a rat submerged in a bottle of chili sauce has gone viral.
The video posted by TikTok user @lia_m0sh1 yesterday showed a rat struggling to breathe in the chili sauce bottle.
"The rat is having a relaxing moment in the sauce," the TikTok user said.
She made a remark about the peculiar and hilarious animal-related incidents in the country.
"Are animals in Malaysia broken? Cows 'lepaking' (hanging out) inside houses, snakes watching Running Man (South Korean variety television show), frogs watching football matches and now a rat soaking in sauce."
The video received mixed reactions from netizens.
Tik Tok user Yin._06 expressed concern for the rat.
"Its eyes must be hurting from the chili sauce!"
"Poor rat, its eyes are burning. Look, it is wiping its face," said user MamaAamerEIAaisyah.
User netizen aziraa._ questioned how the rat got into the bottle, given its small opening.
"How did the rat get in there?"
Some netizens were disgusted by the contaminated sauce.
"What is this?" said user Mr avocadoooo.
"I feel nauseous," user A said.
User Nabil Azli sarcastically said: "It is moisturising its body."
