#NSTviral: Elmina plane crash: 'You never replied', says ex-wife of Heikal, co-pilot of crashed plane [WATCH]

 

KUALA LUMPUR: "You never replied," said the ex-wife of Heikal Aras Abdul Azim, the second in command on crashed aircraft N28JV in a heartfelt tribute to her beloved husband in a post. 

 

In an Instagram post, Christine Yong posted a video of her husband along with her three sons and daughter whom she said missed their father dearly. 

 

Yong had texted her husband at 4.12pm with links and videos related to the crash.

Yong had also asked, "You okay?" to which she never received any reply. 

 

"You never replied," the stewardess said. 


Yong had also thanked the public for the kind words and asked for space from the public as the families are going through a hard time. 

 

"Thank you for the kind thoughts and prayers. Please stop all the speculation as this is impacting the kids and families who are going through hard times at this very moment.

 

"I will share more on the updates on arwah (her husband) for now please understand the space that we need especially the kids. He is indeed flying higher now, rest well Heikal," she said. 

 

Heikal, 45, alongside Shahrul Kamal Roslan was flying a Beechcraft Model 390 (Premier 1) en route from Langkawi to the Sultan Abdul Aziz Shah Airport in Subang.

 

It crashed two minutes before it was scheduled to land.

 

There were six passengers on board. Datuk Seri Johari Harun, 53, who was the assemblyman for the Pelangi state constituency in Pahang, as well as the state Local Government, Housing, Environment and Green technology exco member.

 

Also on the flight was his personal assistant, 41-year-old Idris Abdol Talib @ Ramali.

 

The other passengers were Kharil Azwan Jamaludin, 43; Shaharul Amir Omar, 49; Mohamad Naim Fawwaz Mohamed Muaidi, 35; and Muhammad Taufiq Mohd Zaki, 37.
