KUALA LUMPUR: Cheating husband caught or clever marketing ploy?
This was the question posed by netizens following a viral image of a billboard allegedly put up by a woman named Shin Yi to make sure her 'message' is gotten across to her husband.
The electronic billboard at Taman Tun Dr Ismail (TTDI) displayed her message to one Kevin Teoh Chee Sing that they are getting divorce for his actions.
"You lying, cheating, overcompensating loser.
"Caught you at Jerry Coworking Space TTDI! All on video. Choose a windowless room next time.
"Don't call me! My lawyers will call you," said in the billboard as spotted by X user @timothytiah who posted it and went viral earlier today.
The post garnered over 780,000 views and 12,000 likes at the time of writing.
The X users were left amused by the post, saying that it must be done by people from the T20 community.
"T20 folks calling cheater be like," said X user KA7.
However, there is now debate whether the billboard is an
advertisement by Jerry Coworking Space TTDI.
X user @pelisahh said that the wordings on the billboard mentioned a windowless room, which shows the options one can go for when renting the space there for work.
"The marketing by Jerry Coworking Space TTDI is quite powerful," she said.
Another X user @encikjon said that the advertisement indirectly explains what their clients can expect when renting the space there.
"Nice marketing promoting coworking space with a view!
"That the place is secured with 24 hours camera too? Smart!" he said.
New Straits Times has reached out to Jerry Coworking Space for clarification on the matter.
