KUALA LUMPUR: A heartwarming video of a man's compassionate gesture, by giving the shirt off his back to a man believed to be homeless, has touched netizens.
In the viral TikTok clip shared by @afhiaffandy, the man known as Haji Wan selflessly gives his white t-shirt to a homeless man who appears shivering in the rain.
Not stopping there, Haji Wan also purchased food from a nearby stall and gave it to the homeless man.
In the caption, user @afhiaffandy said: "Haji Wan's life is never far from charitable deeds. I still remember his words to me before. If we cannot feed someone, it's enough to make those we help smile.
"May this inspire others to join in doing good deeds. Some people may not have a soft mattress, eat peacefully, have a comfortable home, or wear good clothes.
"We are the ones who are less grateful. May Allah grant us the blessing of feeling grateful with a peaceful heart," he said.
The post has garnered over 4.4 million views and more than 8,723 comments, with netizens expressing admiration for Haji Wan's kindness and praising his empathy toward the less fortunate.
"Some weeks ago, I sat with Haji Wan at a café. His eyes are always on the lookout for those in need. He'll call out and provide money, even ensuring they have something to eat," wrote @hadisorangne.
