KUALA LUMPUR: A dissatisfied woman's video detailing how she is living next door to an unhygienic neighbour running a food and beverage (F&B) business has gone viral.
Taking to her TikTok, @amanda_fiqs shared how her neighbour let the drains clog up with food and garbage from their F&B business, resulting in floods during the rainy season.
"The clogged up drain overflows every time it rains, causing the dirt to spill out and reach my mother's house," she said in the video.
She also mentioned there were overgrown shrubs, as they were not maintained by her neighbour.
The 27-second video showed the unkempt surroundings of her neighbour's land.
"If you were in my place, would you feel comfortable enjoying this view every day?
"By the way, two days ago, they finally sprayed herbicide after such a long time but unfortunately, they didn't spray any herbicide in the area I'm talking about. I wonder why?" the caption of the video said.
Taking to the comments section, netizens advised her to lodge complaints regarding the issue.
"Report to the council and health authorities, ask them to check your neighbour's food waste disposal system, whether it's functioning correctly or not," wrote Teha.
Another user said the woman should confront the neighbour.
"Try to tell your neighbour that you will report to the municipal council. See if they take action. If not, just report to the authorities directly. Talking too much is tiring." commented a user.
