KUALA LUMPUR: A recent video of luxury footwear which look exactly like bathroom slippers being sold in Saudi Arabia has gone viral, leaving netizens amused.
The video shared by @kuwaitinside on Instagram, showed the trendy sandals in various colours on display at a store in Saudi Arabia.
The staff who was wearing black gloves in the video, pulled out one of the slippers in white and blue making the price tag visible.
The sandals were priced at SAR4,590 which is approximately RM 5,700.
The staff then carefully showed off the delicate design and features of the footwear, including the texture of the soles, and its flexibility.
Netizens flooded the comment section with hilarious remarks.
"In India we call them "Hawai Chappal" because they usually fly from a mother's hand through hawa (air) onto their child's head," wrote Trissha Sinha.
"These are our family bathroom slippers," commented a user.
"In our country, Indonesia, these sandals are very cheap and sold on the roadside," wrote another.
