PETALING JAYA: What would you do if you stumbled upon a five-foot-long snake at a shopping complex parking lot?
That's exactly what several visitors at Sunway Pyramid witnessed just a few days ago in one of the elevated parking bays.
Baffled onlookers were left stunned by how the serpent managed to make its way to the shopping complex parking area.
One visitor, who captured the unusual sight, posted a video of the snake on his social media account (@nbudiman), quickly catching the attention of thousands.
The short clip, filmed from a passing vehicle, showed the snake — easily over five feet long — slithering through the parking lot and occupying one of the spaces.
The video quickly went viral, amassing nearly 10,000 likes, over a thousand comments, and widespread shares on TikTok.
Among the comments, one user, Fira, jokingly wrote: "Mind-blowing, people these days are using snakes to block parking spaces. No one's going to be mad at a snake, or dare to move it."
Another user, Desh Nesh, humorously asked: "Is that a Mustang Shelby parked in the middle of the lot?"
Others also chimed in with witty remarks, including DK, who said: "First time seeing someone use a python to reserve a parking spot. Ok lah. They win."
Questions about the snake's entry into the shopping complex sparked even more laughter, with one user wondering whether the reptile used a Touch & Go card or RFID to access the parking.
Another commenter playfully asked if the snake was there for Deepavali shopping.
As for what happened to the snake afterward, that remains unclear.
The NST has reached to the shopping complex management for a statement but has yet to receive a response.
