KUALA LUMPUR: A young woman is seeking help from netizens to locate a Good Samaritan who provided her assistance on the road recently.
"Please help find this Chinese uncle! Use the power of the internet and make it viral," the woman urged netizens, seeking to locate the individual who assisted her on the road recently.
In a TikTok post by user shqn.s, the woman recounted how the Chinese man helped her when her car broke down on the Sungai Besi-Ulu Kelang Elevated Highway (SUKE).
"My car shut down after exiting SUKE Highway. The brake pedal became completely stiff," she said.
As her car obstructed traffic, other drivers honked incessantly, causing her stress and tears. The man came to her rescue, offering to drive her car to a safer location.
"God is good; He sent a Chinese uncle to help me. He risked driving my car, which was very dangerous because the brake pedal was not working, and took it to safety," she said.
"Thank you uncle, I will remember your face forever," she added.
The woman added that before leaving, the man advised her not to sit behind the damaged car to avoid being hit by other vehicles.
She urged other women to learn about car maintenance and repairs to avoid similar situations.
"Regardless of how skilled we are at earning money, we need to understand what to do when a car breaks down. Don't be like me—panicked and clueless, feeling immense pressure from honking," she said.
"Thank God everything turned out well. In times when our country faces many issues, it's heartwarming to encounter such kind-hearted individuals," she added.
She requested netizens to help track down the man as she didn't have a chance to take his phone number.
"Find this uncle for me; I need his phone number. I didn't get to chat with him much—only had a chance to say thank you before he left," she said.
Efforts by Harian Metro to obtain further information from the TikTok user were unsuccessful as she had not yet responded to messages sent since last night.
