KUALA LUMPUR: A video featuring three young men joining a bus trip with old makcik (aunties) to Terengganu has captivated netizens.
Shared by amighul deghaman@ricxxxkiddon on X, the video –- entitled "The Random Things Ikut Rombongan Cik Normah" -— chronicled the journey with all the antics that happened inside and outside the bus.
They included petty arguments, the fear of leaving somebody behind during a rest stop and an abundance of food, where the user showed himself being fed three rounds of bread and curry puff.
The amusing exchanges among the elderly passengers provided viewers with plenty of laughter.
The video also highlighted playful interactions between the young men and the elderly women, whose reactions were both endearing and entertaining.
Towards the end of the video, during a rest stop, the user could be seen teasing his "Aunt Normah", causing her to become startled and cry out (melatah). He also tried to convince her that there were ants on her shoes.
"The trip with the elderly ladies to Terengganu and Kelantan is fantastic to be honest. The bus was lively with excitement. I have to salute their incredible stamina as they outpaced us younger folks," said @laylahlovato in the comments section.
"They usually were always ready for more shopping, while we were so exhausted we felt like tying ourselves down in the bus. Their strength and endurance were truly impressive," he said.
"I remember when I was young, I used to join my parents on trips with their friends. I was the only kid in the group though. It was fun," said another user @hidayahyasmin as she related her own experience.
"They would shop endlessly, buying up everything in sight as long as there was space on the bus. Some even bought huge pots and pans, while others got small pots that ended up falling and hitting them on the head."
