MERSING: Police today confirmed that no injuries were reported during the Johor State Schools Sports Council (MSSJ) football tournament held at a secondary school.
Mersing police chief Superintendent Abdul Razak Abdullah Sani said the three players involved in an altercation during the match were subjected to disciplinary action by the match referee.
Earlier, a two-minute-32-second footage was uploaded on TikTok which went viral.
Netizens had speculated that several players in the football match between Batu Pahat and Johor Baru were injured after a fight broke out among the players during the second half of the match on Aug 10.
"The viral video of the altercation was due to some misunderstanding between several players from both teams.
"The match concluded without any further incident," he said today.
