KUALA LUMPUR: A TikTok video capturing a bride's entrance dance, featuring her multiracial bridesmaids in support, earned the likes and compliments of more than 5,000 netizens since two days ago.
The approximately 3-minute video posted on the bride's Tik Tok account, Gowsealya14 showed three of her non-Indian friends dancing with her as she made her grand entrance into the wedding hall, just before the 'Thali' tying ceremony.
Out of the eight bridesmaids who accompanied the bride into the hall, three were her close friends, Malays who also wore sarees with headscarves to make the entrance dance more memorable.
The video has so far received thousands of likes and comments, some humorous while many wished the newlyweds a happy married life.
Among the comments the video received so far were from Shiro who described the dance as beautiful and congratulated the two of them. One Lia wrote 'Happy to see Muslim friends being very supportive'.
Another viewer, Geevenesh complimented one of the Malay girls for her sweet smile while dancing and entering into the hall.
Xeno meanwhile wrote 'Nowadays the saree draping artist has to be extremely good as the ponnu need to do a dance performance before getting married.'
