KUALA LUMPUR: A viral video of a private university student in Subang Jaya unleashing his frustration over late-night classes has sparked backlash online.
The 16-second clip, shared by Reddit user @RhinneXChronica, shows a male student shouting angrily from a university building: "Why am I here at 8pm when your staff are here from 9 to 5? I'm here from 8pm to 9pm!"
Nearby students appeared startled by his outburst, with some stopping to stare and others walking away.
In the comments, netizens criticised the student's rant.
User @ck4828 said: "Lots of crazy people nowadays," while @Plus_Marzian9105 defended night classes, saying: "You get what you pay for."
Some, like @That-Plate5789, suggested he reconsider his path, asking: "What will he do when he starts working?"
Others voiced support for lecturers.
User @Winter-Permission564 said: "As the son of a lecturer, I feel bad for academic staff who often work overtime and teach night classes."
The video, however, has since been taken down.
