KUALA LUMPUR: A video of a female elephant trying to pull up her calf, which was on the opposite side of a concrete fence, has captivated netizens.
A TikTok video posted by @jamil.amin.abdul shows the mother desperately trying to pull it up from the other side as the baby also attempts to reach her.
It is a cute scene as the mother attempts to pull the calf up with her trunk. The little one is also trying its best by using its legs to climb the fence with the mother's help.
The incident was recorded at the concrete fence at a Fisheries Department branch near Pulau Banding, Gerik, Perak.
There is a humorous caption as the writer imagined the mother elephant saying: "Alright, next time don't wander off too far" and the baby responding: "Okay, Mom."
After rescuing the baby, the mother elephant and her calf were seen walking away together.
Netizens liked the video as it showed the cute calf with its mother.
