KUALA LUMPUR: A video of a monitor lizard that wandered into a clinic for "treatment," sending a nurse and a doctor running helter-skelter, has gone viral.
In a TikTok video shared by @klinikpenawarampangan, the monitor lizard can be seen casually sauntering into the clinic, heading straight for the registration counter. The nurse at the counter, upon seeing the reptile, bolts from her station to seek refuge in the dispensary.
The startled nurse alerts the doctor, but as the lizard approaches, the doctor falls over in fear. In a frantic attempt to shoo away the monitor lizard, he flings a chair at it before finally mustering enough courage to guide the large reptile out of the clinic.
The caption humorously notes that the clinic, in Seremban, doesn't accept non-human patients. The video has garnered 275,000 views and 13,500 likes, with netizens lighting up the comment section.
User @Sha6004 remarked that this was her first time "seeing a doctor not wanting to meet a patient," while @sunshine.me suggested that maybe the lizard was actually sick but "couldn't tell anyone."
